Thank You

Governor

Joe Lombardo

For Investing in

Our Students

To Governor Joe Lombardo, no child in Nevada is just a number. He knows that every student has a name, a dream, and the potential to succeed if given the right tools.

Historic Funding

Governor Lombardo doesn't just see dollars and cents; he sees bright futures and
more opportunities for children across our state. That’s why he delivered a historic
$12 billion investment in K-12 education — the largest in Nevada history —
providing the resources our classrooms have lacked for far too long.

More Accountability

Governor Lombardo also implemented the most significant education reforms in Nevada history to hold school districts accountable. His change has already
triggered a 73% increase in 5-star schools and a 39% decrease in 1-star schools.
On top of that, teacher vacancies have dropped, and chronic absenteeism has
plummeted by 10% since he took office in 2022. Thanks to Governor Lombardo,
more students and teachers are at school and thriving.

Safer Classrooms

Kids can’t learn, and teachers can’t teach, when they’re afraid for their safety.
Governor Lombardo took action to restore classroom discipline, protecting teachers and empowering them to resolve violent disruptions. The results were immediate: suspensions fell 17%, expulsions dropped 25%, and bullying cases decreased by 14%. Governor Lombardo has proven that when our teachers speak with authority, our students listen.

Better Outcomes

Focusing on the basics is producing real achievement for Nevada’s students.
Childhood literacy rates have risen by 5% and statewide graduation rates have
climbed by 4%. With test scores rising and nearly a third of schools increasing their star ratings last year, Governor Lombardo is building a stronger foundation for the
next generation.
